CSS 101 - Introduction to Precision Irrigated Agriculture Credits - 2 Lecture - 2 Lab - Other - Students will be introduced to a wide range of technologies and concepts in precision irrigated ag, including the Global Positioning System (GPS), Geographic Information Systems(GIS), sensors/controllers, industry issues, career opportunities, and cost-benefit comparisons. Practical application of precision agriculture technology in water management and irrigation systems will be emphasized. Students will be responsible for identifying a study area, a question or management issue, and the data needed to answer the question as part of a term/team project.
