EC 201 - Principles of Microeconomic Theory with Applications Credits - 4 Lecture - 4 Introduction to Microeconomics. Focuses on the behavior of individual consumers and business firms and how their interaction leads to a set of prices that act to allocate scarce resources among alternative uses. This course includes applications of microeconomic theory to current economic problems. Prerequisite: WR 060 or Placement, MTH 070 or higher. WR 115 strongly recommended. Course Designation: Discipline Studies - A transferable course that meets distribution (group) requirements in the Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (A.A.O.T.) degree and the Associate of Science (A.S.) degree. Note: Courses meeting distribution requirements may always be used as electives in the transfer degrees. Social Science course.
