BT 251 - Medical Terminology Credits - 3 Lecture - 3 This course is an overview of basic medical terminology. Prefixes, suffixes, word roots, combining forms, special endings, plural forms, abbreviations and symbols are included in the content. A programmed learning, word-building system is used to learn word parts that are used to construct or analyze new terms. Emphasis is placed on spelling, definition, usage, and pronunciation. Term(s) Offered: Fall, Winter Course Designation: C/T Elective - A maximum of 12 credits of college-level career and technical courses may be used as electives in the A.A.O.T. and the A.A.S. degrees.
