ED 258 - Culturally Responsive Teaching and Learning in the Classroom Credits - 4 Lecture - 4 The purpose of this course is to examine cultural diversity, power, and difference in American education. Students will have the opportunity to think more deeply about the concept of culture and cultural diversity as it applies to the educational setting, as well as examine how teacher identities and beliefs influence the classroom environment. Prerequisite: WR 115 or higher Term(s) Offered: Winter Course Designation: Elective - A transferable course that can be used to fulfill undesignated elective requirements in the associate’s degree programs.
