CH 221Z - General Chemistry I Credits - 4 Lecture - 4 Explores and applies principles and applications of chemistry. Emphasis on measurement, components of matter, atomic and molecular structure, quantitative relationships including foundational stoichiometry, and major classes of chemical reactions. CH221Z is a lecture course; CH 227Z is the laboratory component. Prerequisite: MTH 070 or higher (if repeating this course, CH 227Z is also a prerequisite) Corequisite: CH 227Z Term(s) Offered: Fall Course Designation: Discipline Studies - A transferable course that meets distribution (group) requirements in the Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (A.A.O.T.) degree and the Associate of Science (A.S.) degree.
