APR 110A - Plumbing Apprenticeship Fundamentals Credits - 4 Lecture - 4 Course introduces the plumbing apprentice to the foundational principles of the plumbing trade, including the history and development of plumbing laws and regulations, with emphasis on the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC). Apprentice will explore materials, tools, and methods used in the installation and maintenance of potable water systems, drainage, waste, and sewage systems. Course also covers public health considerations, contamination prevention, basic plumbing math, and safety practices required in the plumbing profession. Term(s) Offered: Fall, Winter, Spring Course Designation: C/T Elective - A maximum of 12 credits of college-level career and technical courses may be used as electives in the A.A.O.T. and the A.A.S. degrees.
