APR 217T - IMM Apprenticeship Machine Shop Practices

Credits - 3 Lecture - 3
Introduces basic machine shop practices used in industrial maintenance and manufacturing. Topics include machine shop safety, measurement and layout techniques, machining principles, tool materials and grinding, drilling, and tapping procedures, and the operation of common machine tools such as lathes, drill presses, and milling machines.

Course Designation: C/T Elective - A maximum of 12 credits of college-level career and technical courses may be used as electives in the A.A.O.T. and the A.A.S. degrees.
