ECE 226 - Child Development

This course covers child development from birth through age eight, with a focused emphasis on social-emotional development across each developmental stage. Students will examine major developmental theories, stages of development, and age-appropriate social-emotional behaviors to better understand typical and emerging patterns of development. Using the Pyramid Model as a framework, students will learn strategies to intentionally support social-emotional development in young children. This course serves as the foundation for the Early Childhood Education program.
