ECE 130 - Antibias and Multicultural Curriculum Credits - 3 Lecture - 3 This course explores the goals of Anti-Bias Education through culturally responsive practices designed to reduce implicit bias and disproportionality. Students will examine how multiculturalism can be intentionally and respectfully woven throughout curriculum and learning environments. Using Pyramid Equity and Inclusion materials and practices, students will develop teaching strategies to address cultural conflict, support inclusive learning communities, and directly teach about similarities and differences in ways that affirm all children and families. The course takes a two-pronged approach, integrating Anti-Bias Education for all learners with intentional multicultural curriculum design. Term(s) Offered: Fall Course Designation: C/T Elective - A maximum of 12 credits of college-level career and technical courses may be used as electives in the A.A.O.T. and the A.A.S. degrees.
