MA 201 - Introduction to Professional Medical Assisting

Credits - 1 Lecture - 1
Introduces medical assistant key competencies related to office practices and administrative tasks.  Includes concepts related to professionalism, diversity, confidentiality, communication, telephone techniques, legal concepts, scheduling, triage skills, and office safety.
C/T Elective - A maximum of 12 credits of college-level career and technical courses may be used as electives in the A.A.O.T. and the A.A.S. degrees.
