HST 105 - World History II


Credits - 4 Lecture - 4
This world history survey utilizes a global approach to exploring patterns of change in cultures and civilizations through contact with other cultures in Asia, Africa, Middle East, Europe and the Americas from approximately 500 C.E. to 1700 C.E. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the implications this had on their worldview, what they valued, their relationship to others and their environment, and how these patterns of change influenced the modern world.
Recommended preparation: WR 060  or higher
NOTE: HST104, HST105, and HST106 do not have to be taken in sequence.
Course Designation: Discipline Studies - A transferable course that meets distribution (group) requirements in the Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (A.A.O.T.) degree and the Associate of Science (A.S.) degree. Note: Courses meeting distribution requirements may always be used as electives in the transfer degrees. Meets Cultural Literacy requirement. Meets Social Science requirement.
