MA 203 - Phlebotomy

Provides hands-on instruction and supervised practice in blood specimen collection and processing within a simulated clinical laboratory environment. Course content emphasizes compliance with safety regulations, the development and evaluation of technical skills, safety practices, and patient care standards. Prepares students to sit for the National Healthcare Association (NHA) or National Certified Phlebotomy Technician (NCPT) certification exam.
Course Designation: C/T Elective - A maximum of 12 credits of college-level career and technical courses may be used as electives in the A.A.O.T. and the A.A.S. degrees.
