CH 105 - Introductory Chemistry Credits - 5 Lecture - 4 Lab - 1 This course covers the introduction to organic molecules and functional groups; alkanes; unsaturated hydrocarbons; organic compounds that contain oxygen, halogen, or sulfur; the three-dimensional shape of molecules; aldehydes and ketones; carboxylic acids, esters, and amides; amines and neurotransmitters. Prerequisite: CH 104Z and CH 124Z , CH 110 , or CH 221Z and CH 227Z Discipline Studies - A transferable course that meets distribution (group) requirements in the Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (A.A.O.T.) degree. Note: Courses meeting distribution requirements may always be used as electives in the transfer degrees. Lab Science - Course that meets the laboratory requirement.
