ED 287 - Signing Exact English Credits - 3 Lecture - 3 This course is the third course in a sequence of courses which introduces Manually Coded English sign language systems, focusing specifically on Signing Exact English 2 (SEE). It includes the theory, rules, principles, and vocabulary of SEE, as well as practice in both receptive and expressive skills. Students will be introduced to the finger-spelled alphabet, as well as appropriate body, facial, and dramatic features of sign language. Prerequisite: ED 286 or instructor approval. Elective in Paraeducator Certificate and AAS degree. Course Designation: C/T Elective - A maximum of 12 credits of college-level career and technical courses may be used as electives in the A.A.O.T. and the A.A.S. degrees.
