Associate of Science Transfer in Psychology


Social Science & Education

Intended Program Outcomes:

Upon completion of the AST in Psychology, students will be able to:

  1. Describe psychology’s major subfields
  2. Express ideas that accurately reflect basic psychological concepts and principles

 

This degree and MTM CAP is designed for the student who intends to transfer to a four-year college or university within the Oregon University System (OUS) and earn a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. 

In order for a student to successfully transfer to an Oregon public university, students must at a minimum:

  1. Earn a grade of a “C-” or better in courses in the major
  2. Take courses in the major for a grade- Oregon public universities do not accept “pass/no pass”
  3. Earn a cumulative grade point average of 2.0

Students are strongly encouraged to seek advising and contact an admissions counselor or intake advisor at the university they intend to transfer to for more information

A total of 90 credits are required for this degree.

Core Transfer Requirements


At least one of the core transfer requirements must qualify as a Cultural Literacy  course.
