PHY 212 - General Physics with Calculus Credits - 5 Lecture - 4 Lab - 1 Second of a three-course sequence that provides an introduction to basic principles in physics. This course introduces concepts of rotational and harmonic motion, mechanical waves, optics, and thermodynamics. This course is designed for students who require a calculus-based physics course as part of their course of study; typically for degrees in Physical Science or Engineering. Prerequisites: PHY 211 and MTH 251 .
PHY 202 , if it has been taken, becomes an elective if PHY 212 is taken.
, Term(s) Offered: Winter Course Designation: Discipline Studies - A transferable course that meets distribution (group) requirements in the Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (A.A.O.T.) degree and the Associate of Science (A.S.) degree.
