APR 217M - IMM Apprenticeship Basic Electricity and Electronics Credits - 1 Lecture - 1 This course covers a basic nonmathematical approach to understanding the principles of electricity. APR217M introduces electron theory, static electricity, electrons in motion, and magnetism, including basic methods of measuring current, voltage, and resistance. The course will introduce the student to circuit components-conductors, insulators, resistors, capacitors, and simple Ohm’s Law calculations for DC and AC circuits. Term(s) Offered: Fall, Winter, Spring Course Designation: C/T Elective - A maximum of 12 credits of college-level career and technical courses may be used as electives in the A.A.O.T. and the A.A.S. degrees.
