CH 223 - General Chemistry (Majors) Credits - 5 Lecture - 4 Lab - 1 This course covers chemical equilibrium; acids and bases; aqueous ionic equilibrium; free energy and thermodynamics, electrochemistry; radioactivity and nuclear chemistry; and transition metals and coordination compounds. This is the third course in a yearlong series. Prerequisite: CH 222 and MTH 111Z Term(s) Offered: Spring Course Designation: Discipline Studies - A transferable course that meets distribution (group) requirements in the Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (A.A.O.T.) degree and the Associate of Science (A.S.) degree. Note: Courses meeting distribution requirements may always be used as electives in the transfer degrees.
