PHY 211 - General Physics with Calculus Credits - 5 Lecture - 4 Lab - 1 First of a three-course sequence that provides an introduction to basic principles in physics. This course introduces concepts of motion, force, energy, and fluids. This course is designed for students who require a calculus-based physics course as part of their course of study; typically for degrees in Physical Science or Engineering. Prerequisite: WR 115 or Placement and MTH 112Z
Corequisite: MTH 251 Term(s) Offered: Fall PHY 201 , if it has been taken, becomes an elective if PHY 211 is taken. Course Designation: Discipline Studies - A transferable course that meets distribution (group) requirements in the Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (A.A.O.T.) degree and the Associate of Science (A.S.) degree. Note: Courses meeting distribution requirements may always be used as electives in the transfer degrees. Lab Science - Course that meets the laboratory requirement.
