UAS 199 - Basic Electricity for UAS Systems


Credits - 4 Lecture - 3 Lab - 1
Students will gain a basic understanding of electricity as it pertains to unmanned electrical systems.  Students will learn to define and describe underlying principles, terms, and units, identify wire gauge materials and how they affect an electric system, use schematics to build a simple electric circuit, use a multimeter to troubleshoot electric circuits, design and build electrical circuits, use Ohms Law to calculate loads, resistance, and power, and build simple and complex electronic circuits and apply them to real-world applications.
