MTH 231 - Discrete Mathematics Credits - 4 Lecture - 4 Students will study and demonstrate knowledge of topics chosen from logic, set theory, functions, algorithms, number theory, matrices, proof techniques, recursion, counting techniques, relations, and graphing theory. Prerequisite: MTH 111 or Placement Course Designation: Discipline Studies - A transferable course that meets distribution (group) requirements in the associate of arts Oregon transfer (A.A.O.T.) degree and the associate of science (A.S.) degree. Note: Courses meeting distribution requirements may always be used as electives in the transfer degrees.
