CSS 220 - Geospatial Data Collection Credits - 4 Lecture - 3 Lab - 1 Other - This course will go into detail on types and methods of field data collection for a spatial analysis and provide students with a solid background in data logging systems, project design, and an introduction to data analysis and map production for agricultural applications. Students will be responsible for identifying a study area, a question or management issue, and the data needed to answer the question as part of a term/team project. Students will learn not only the technical issues of field collection but also critical thinking skills and communication skills. Lectures will be delivered in person at the Pendleton campus/Hermiston Center for Precision Ag. This course may be offered online. Course Designation: Elective - A transferable course that can be used to fulfill undesignated elective requirements in the associate’s degree programs.
