CJ 200 - Theories of Crime and Delinquency Credits - 3 Lecture - 3 This course is an in-depth analysis of major theories of crime and delinquency from various sociological, psychological, and biological perspectives. The course will also examine how criminal acts are measured, the development of criminal careers, the various typologies of offenders and victims, and a critical analysis of public policies concerning crime prevention and control in a democratic society. Prerequisite: WR 060 or placement Term(s) Offered: Fall Course Designation: Elective - A transferable course that can be used to fulfill undesignated elective requirements in the associate’s degree programs.
