DSL 196 - Electronic Diagnostics and Engine Emissions Credits - 3 Lecture - 2 Lab - 1 This course is designed to introduce the student to the use of electronic control systems in on and off road vehicles. It details subjects from basic electrical wiring and connections to more detailed electronic troubleshooting tools and how engine performance and injection timing can result in non-compliant exhaust emissions. Students will receive hands-on training in the lab setting learning to use ESTs, and proper troubleshooting techniques. Prerequisite: DSL 193 Term(s) Offered: Winter Course Designation: C/T Elective - A maximum of 12 credits of college-level career and technical courses may be used as electives in the A.A.O.T. and the A.A.S. degrees.
