CH 106 - Introductory Chemistry

Credits - 5 Lecture - 4 Lab - 1
This course covers lipids; carbohydrates; amino acids, proteins and enzymes; nucleic acids and protein synthesis; metabolism and energy production; carbohydrate production; carbohydrate, lipid and protein metabolism; and body fluids.
Prerequisite: CH 104, CH 105, CH 110, CH 221, or CH 222.
Course Designation: Discipline Studies - A transferable course that meets distribution (group) requirements in the Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (A.A.O.T.) degree. Note: Courses meeting distribution requirements may always be used as electives in the transfer degrees.
Lab Science - Course that meets the laboratory requirement.
