PHY 202 - General Physics Credits - 5 Lecture - 4 Lab - 1 Second of a three-course sequence that provides an introduction to basic principles in physics. This course introduces concepts of rotational and harmonic motion, mechanical waves, optics, and thermodynamics. This course is designed for students who require a non-calculus-based physics course as part of their course of study. Prerequisite: PHY 201 or PHY 211 . Term(s) Offered: Winter This becomes an elective if PHY 212 is taken. Course Designation: Discipline Studies - A transferable course that meets distribution (group) requirements in the Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (A.A.O.T.) degree and the Associate of Science (A.S.) degree. Note: Courses meeting distribution requirements may always be used as electives in the transfer degrees. Lab Science - Course that meets the laboratory requirement.
