G 201 - Physical Geology Credits - 4 Lecture - 3 Lab - 1 An in-depth study of the geologic processes occurring on Earth. There are no prerequisites, although a background in science is helpful. Satisfies laboratory science requirements for both science and non-science majors. Topics studied include the origin and identification of rocks and minerals, volcanoes, earthquakes, and plate tectonics. Generally one weekend field trip. Prerequisite: MTH 070 or Placement and WR 115 or Placement Need not be taken in sequence.
